page, which present his artistic out put informing about

When and at what age you became an Elvis fan?
When I was a
little boy (early 60th).
How
that happened?
After my
father and older friends who like Elvis songs.
How did
you cherish your admiration for Elvis then and how today?
My admiration
is the same or even bigger. It is pity that we will not have
new Elvis songs.
Have
you ever seen Elvis on stage? If you have, when and where? Tell
also about the concert more.
No - only on
video.
What
you think, what's the best part of Elvis' all production? Why?
Above all his
records. It makes that the third generation listen to his
music.
What
Elvis' music means to you?
It means
quite a lot. I was born and probably I will die with it. His
music is and will be in my heart.
What
have you think about Colonel Parker and his job with Elvis?
I do not a
good opinion about him. Because of him we could not see Elvis
in Europe. He only counted money for himself. Elvis was the
source of it.
Do
you think that Elvis was a decent actor and have you seen many
of his films? What
are the best?
He was a very
good actor but he could not prove it. His managers idea was to
make each film very quickly, few Elvis' songs and then count
money. I have seen all his films. According to my opinion
"King Creole" is the best.
Do you
collect Elvis' records? How wide collection you have?
I have quite
a lot of Elvis records, but I am not a collector.
Do
you collect other Elvis items? If you do, what you
collect and tell also
more about your collection.
No, however I
have some (postcards, stamps, records, books, brochure etc)
from my friends from abroad.
Does a
stranger notice, that you're an Elvis fan? How? Is that seen
also at your home?
I think -
yes, mainly because of my internet page "Elvis from
Poland". At my home, you can see him everywhere (covers
of his records issued when he was alive).
Do you
spend much money on your collecting?
Not so much.
My biggest expension are for my internet page.
Do you
have connections with other Elvis fans? How you spend time
together?
Unfortunately,
I do not have many connections in Poland. I keep contacts by
internet with my friends from abroad.
Have
you been to Graceland? If you have, tell about your feelings
there? Have you seen other Elvis' houses?
No, it is too
far for me, and too expensive. I hope to go there someday.
Have
you been to exhibitions, museums or other places concerning
Elvis and his personal history?
Yes, In 90th
I saw the exhibition from Memphis in Poland. They demonstrated
cars, motors, suits, records etc.
Does
your home town and country pay any attention to Elvis and his
career? How and when?
Only TV and
radio on the day of Elvis birthday and death, they perform
Elvis films and songs.
What
you think about tribute artists and impersonators?
I estimate
all these artists who keep in mind Elvis, and specially for
their work to organise different festivals concerts and
others.
Do
you follow careers of those musicians and singers, who once
were on stage and in studio with Elvis? Have you seen
any of them on stage after Elvis?
Sure, I do. I
have seen quite a lot of video records with people who worked
with Elvis. I remember the wonderful by Scotty Moore and D.J.
Fontana in Paris, as well as other European concerts by Ed
Enoch Golden Covenant (before "The Stamps Quartet").
And
finally - Do you have other special favourites?
ELVIS IS
NUMBER ONE. However, I also like Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly,
Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Gene Vincent, Dean Martin, Pat
Boone, Duane Eddy, Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Sonny James,
Johnny Cash, Frankie Laine, Marino Marini Quartet and certainly The Beatles.
Fascynacja
osobowością Elvisa skłoniła mnie do stworzenia polskiej
strony internetowej, prezentującej w możliwie przejrzysty
sposób jego dorobek artystyczny zawierający informacje o:
- wydanych płytach
- zrealizowanych
filmach,
a także wgląd do najlepszych światowych stron
internetowych, poświęconych Królowi Rock And Rolla.
Mam nadzieję, że najbardziej znaczące fakty z biografii
Elvisa Presley'a ułożone w chronologicznej kolejności będą
stanowić pożyteczny przyczynek do wiedzy o tym wspaniałym,
niepowtarzalnym artyście.
