‘Rare fungi of the Northern Hemisphere’

Prizes; There are three (3) main prizes, one for each category:

- Category One: Professionals
- Category Two: Amateurs
- Category Three: For all under 13 years of
age.
Definition of professional :
- All those whose profession entitles them to receive financial gain of any kind from
their photographic skill or knowledge of fungi, this also includes those who exceed status
of amateur.
Their photographs must be their own and visibly signed with the scientific name of the
fungi and authors’ name.
Additionally, author provides by E-mail short description of the fungi (max.20 words)
Amateurs: All those above the age of 13,
whose profession is not as described in Category One and who never previously exhibited
their work in any kind of scientific publications, official photographic exhibitions or on
their own www. web pages.
B/ Rules of the competition:
All photographs must be of fungi only, or fungi in its natural habitat.
Photographs must be not bigger than 800 x 800 pix and not more than 150kb.
Competitors enter only one specific category on which they are allowed to submit 3 (three)
photographs of fungi of his/her choice.
However, each competitor is allowed to exhibit additional one photograph in any of the
other categories.
Category Three is only for those competitors whose photographs were taken when below the
age of 13.
Competitors entering Category Three who are below 13 years of age are permitted to exhibit
3 ( three) photographs In all 3 categories. ( total 9 photographs )
The prizes are decided on below merits:
a./ Rarity of the fungi ( 1 to 5 points )
b./ Apt naming and description ( 1 to 3 points )
c./ Picture quality ( 1 to 2 points )
Jury consist of Mr.Patrick Ruch, member of NWFG and Darz Grzyb, Mr. Marcin Wilga Mr. Tadeusz Ruchlewicz……. Mr. Pawel Chilecki ……. And Mr. Wieslaw

Jurors or their close family will not be
recipients of any prize.
Additional prizes ( linka ) are allocated by non-competing visitors to the web site.
Author of the competition reserves the
right to include the best photographs in his atlas of Fungi of Northern Hemisphere,
Royalty Free.
